One of my favourite authors has released yet another

book! This one comes only a few months after her previous

book, The Magicians apprentice. The new book is called the Ambassadors Mission and it takes place when Sonea’s (from

the Black Magician’s Trilogy) son has grown into a teenager. The book follows him as he tries to live up to the standard that his parents have set (them being the saviours of the land and all) .

This is the summary for the back of the book:

Sonea, former street urchin, now a Black Magician of Kyralia, is horrified when her son, Lorkin, volunteers to assist Dannyl in his new role as Guild Ambassador to Sachaka, a land still ruled by cruel black magicians. When word comes that Lorkin has gone missing Sonea is desperate to find him, but if she leaves the city she will be exiled forever, and besides, her old friend Cery needs her help. Most of his family has been murdered – the latest in a long line of assassinations to plague the leading Thieves. There has always been rivalry, but lately it seems the Thieves have been waging a deadly underworld war, and now it appears they have been doing so with magical assistance …

This book sounds amazing and I can’t wait to read it! It’s only available in hardback at the moment so it’s a bit more expensive but it’s going to be worth it!!

The Magician's Apprentice

Something that doesn’t happen very often, a prequel to the amazing trilogy, “The Black Magicians” by Trudi Canavan is out now! It is set a few hundred years before Sonea and her adventures and it follows Tessia, a 16-year-old who becomes a magician’s apprentice and all the adventures that follow as the land is threatened by war. I am in the process of reading it now so expect a review soon! But if you can’t wait that long, The Magician’s apprentice by Trudi Canavan is in shops everywhere now!

On this blog I hope to help people descide when it come to buying a book so you know what you are looking for! I have created this blog so that I can talk about books and discuss the pros and cons of the different books that I come across.
